Wraith: A digital avatar of a person in the virtual world, capable of interacting with both the physical and digital realms.

Echo: A digital avatar of a deceased person, imprinted with their personality and memories. Echoes can specialize into different types, such as Aggressor, Oracle, Puppeteer, Diplomat, and others.

Ring: A group of Wraiths and Echoes working together, often for a common cause or under a shared banner. Rings can be independent, corporate, or criminal in nature.

Corporation: Powerful entities that control much of the world's resources and infrastructure. They maintain security forces and Rings of Wraiths to protect their interests.

Megacity-East: A sprawling urban environment where much of the story takes place. It's a hub of corporate power, criminal activity, and resistance movements.

Dive Punk: A popular style of music in this world that mixes digital and analog elements. It can be experienced by normal people, even those that aren't truly Wraiths.

Starlight Lounge: A notorious haven for Wraiths where they get contracts. It's a mix of underground speakeasy and corporate boardroom, where Rings get together before and after jobs to relax, unwind, and await their next contract.

Sector 7: A secretive government organization that operates as a rogue agency, often implanting deep-cover agents into other organizations.

Yakuza: A powerful criminal organization in Megacity-East, organized along familial lines. They see themselves as the rightful owners of the underworld, while the corporations are owners of the world everyone else sees.

Neo-Tokyo: A location outside of Megacity-East, where some characters, like Akira Hamamatsu, have their origins.

Neo-Istanbul: The rebuild city of Istanbul, stretching from old Edirne in the west nearly to Ankara in the east. A thriving hub of Rings and underworld life.

City-Tower: Massive urban structures in Megacity-East, where many of its inhabitants live.

Bionetic Implants: Biological and cybernetic enhancements that can modify a person's physical or mental capabilities. They can be used for a variety of purposes, from changing one's appearance to controlling one's actions.
